This patient had irregular, discolored teeth with some slight rotation of the two central incisors. Note how after placement of veneers this patient has the look of teeth straightened by an orthodontist. The smile is brighter because of custom bleaching of the teeth that were not veneered, allowing us to make the veneers approximately three shades lighter
The upper arch (jawbone) of this patient was too narrow to accommodate an implant, so Hilliard Dental Associates decided to make a cantilever bridge that uses only one tooth as an anchor and allows the right central incisor to remain untouched. At the time of placement of the bridge, minor re-contouring of the edges of the central incisors was done to give this patient a more even looking smile.
This case completed by Hilliard Dental Associates encompassed crowning the six upper anterior teeth, removing unhealthy upper posterior teeth and replacing them with a partial denture that had tooth-colored clasps instead of metal clasps. The patient bleached her lower teeth so that the newly restored teeth would look more youthful, healthy and bright.
This particular patient has two implants on his lower right and two implants on his lower left placed instead of opting for a lower partial denture which sometimes can be uncomfortable and has to be taken out at night. This patient is extremely happy with his investment in his mouth and says, "I can eat steak now!"
